Global reliable toilet paper manufacturer with over 10+years OEM and ODM experience - LangQiao Biotech
Toilet paper is a daily necessity, but few people know how it’s actually made. Here's a simple overview of the process from raw material to the soft rolls we use every day.
Raw Material Preparation
Toilet paper is typically made from wood pulp, which comes from softwood or hardwood trees. Some manufacturers also use recycled paper. The pulp is mixed with water and chemicals to break it down into a slurry.
Pulp Processing and Bleaching
The slurry is cleaned and bleached to remove impurities and to make the paper white. The pulp is then refined to improve its texture and strength.
Sheet Formation
The pulp mixture is spread onto a large screen on a paper machine. Water drains away, leaving behind a thin sheet of wet paper. This sheet passes through rollers and dryers to remove moisture.
Pressing and Drying
The semi-dry sheet is pressed between heated rollers to remove the remaining water. This process also gives the paper a smooth finish.
Rolling and Cutting
The dry paper is wound into giant rolls called "parent rolls." These are then unwound, perforated, and cut into smaller rolls for consumer use.
Packaging
The final toilet paper rolls are wrapped, packed, and shipped to stores around the world.
This streamlined process ensures that toilet paper is produced quickly, efficiently, and hygienically.
