The raw materials for tissues we use daily include bamboo pulp and wood pulp. Most tissues are made of wood pulp, which has a low production cost and a relatively mature distribution channel. However, wood pulp is also divided into many categories: pure wood pulp, recycled wood pulp, virgin pulp, virgin wood pulp... It sounds like there is no difference, but would you dare to use pure wood pulp made by bleaching waste paper to wipe your mouth?

(1) Pure wood pulp

Pure wood pulp is made entirely from wood, but may be mixed with recycled or second-hand raw materials that have been processed multiple times by degreasing and bleaching. The cheaper the paper, the worse the disinfection environment. If it is made from recycled paper, the quality can be imagined.

(2) Virgin pulp

Virgin pulp is different from recycled waste paper pulp. It is made from natural plant fibers. Its sources can be divided into wood pulp, grass pulp, bamboo pulp, etc. The natural paper that has become popular in recent years is made of virgin pulp. Because it has not been bleached, it gives people a very healthy feeling. However, the texture of virgin pulp is hard and has low flexibility. In order to improve the softness of the paper, many chemical agents need to be added during the papermaking process to soften and smooth it.

(3) Virgin wood pulp

Virgin wood pulp is made from high-quality pure natural wood and is made through a series of processes such as pulping and steaming. The paper is fine and tough, and is the highest quality type of paper towel. Virgin wood pulp is generally ivory white, with fine, soft, smooth surface and good toughness.

Therefore, from the perspective of raw materials, when choosing paper towels, the priority is: virgin wood pulp > virgin pulp > pure wood pulp.
